JACKSON, Wyo. — Town Square too crowded? Roads too congested? Are these feelings of annoyance becoming hard to shake? Becoming Jackson Whole has created a free, three-day meditation course specifically for surviving “Angry August.”

As a gift to the community, the nonprofit offers the short guided meditations to anyone who registers online. Each installment is approximately two to three minutes in length and is recorded by Becoming Jackson Whole Founder Sara Flitner.

“We hope these bedrock mindfulness practices help you pause for a clear and honest look at what’s happening right now, in the present moment,” the introductory email reads. “By tuning our awareness of what’s happening around us and what we feel within us, we cultivate more freedom to choose our response (yes, even to traffic gridlock).”
