College students from Wyoming encouraged to order free at-home COVID tests

JACKSON, Wyo. — College students who are heading home for the holidays are encouraged to order a FREE COVID-19 Vault test ahead of time. The Vault test is available to Wyoming residents at no cost, and no insurance is needed.

Travel is known to increase the risk of disease transmission and travelers can be exposed to COVID-19 in their community of origin or on their journey. Many people infected with COVID show no symptoms or have only mild symptoms.

Be prepared by ordering your Vault test kit in advance, then take the test about seven days after you arrive home from traveling for the most accurate results. Testing is the only way to know for sure if you or your loved ones have been infected.

In addition to being free to Wyoming residents, Vault tests may also be ordered more than once, and no discomfort or nasal swabs are involved. When filling out your information, the price will automatically change to $0 when you enter your physical Wyoming address.

Visit the Teton County Health Department’s Testing Information webpage to learn more about the types of testing available, what to do if you receive a positive test result, and more.
