JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson’s Town Council will host the monthly “Chat with Town Council” meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at noon. The topic is the town’s sustainability plan.
Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson, Councilwoman Jessica Sell Chambers and Ecosystem Stewardship Administrator Tanya Anderson will answer questions, guide the discussion and share more about the plan.
Town Council unanimously approved the Town of Jackson Sustainability Plan in July. The plan aims to “preserve and protect the area’s ecosystem in order to ensure a healthy environment, community and economy for current and future generations.” The community-wide plan outlines ways to maintain healthy populations of all native species, preserve and enhance surface water and groundwater quality and reduce air pollutants produced in the community.
The monthly meeting is an opportunity to chat informally with councilmembers and Town staff about specific topics. This will be a hybrid meeting, taking place both in person at Town Hall and online via Zoom.
