TETON VALLEY, ID— Teton Valley Balloon Rally organizers define the experience with one word:
Magic.
It’s the same they use to describe the community and the experience of Teton Valley. People are drawn to the majesty of the Tetons, but they stay for the camaraderie they find among their neighbors. It’s an experience that’s hard to put in words, and even harder to forget.
Similarly, a child watching a canopy of vibrant balloons decorate the sky in front of the Tetons will never forget that feeling of wonder. Nor will an adult.
Experience all the magic for yourself Friday, June 29 through July 1 a the Teton County Fairgrounds in Driggs.
Balloons lift off at 6 am. Attendees can enjoy a hot breakfast, and balloon rides will open to the public on July 1 (weather permitting, space not guaranteed).

The Balloon Rally has undergone quite an evolution in the past six years. After a period of uncertainty in 2012, three local women stepped in and gave it a radical makeover. Now, the Teton Valley Balloon Rally is more than just an event. It is a nonprofit organization that funds two programs: an annual scholarship for a high school student to attend hot air balloon camp, and an outreach program focusing on aviation science workshops for elementary schools.
As Teton Valley Balloon Rally’s mission grows, so too does its need for resources. It’s getting to be a bigger production than a team of volunteers can shoulder themselves. So this year, Balloon Rally organizers are thrilled to be able to participate in the Tin Cup Challenge. Fans and participants can also support the Balloon Rally at RISE Teton Vally, 5-8 pm June 30 at Rise Coffee House.
The 38th Annual Teton Valley Balloon Rally will take place at the Teton Valley Fairgrounds in Driggs, ID on the mornings of June 29, 30, and July 1. July 29-30 are designated “sponsor days,” which means flights will be reserved for sponsors with some public rides available. Rides are open to the public on July 1, and cost $300/person or $500 for two people.Â
Be part of the magic this year. You won’t forget it.
