JACKSON, Wyo. — The Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir will host its spring concert on Sunday, marking the conclusion of the 2025-2026 concert season.
The choral performance — Songs of Spirit: Our Song, Our Story — will begin at 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public at Center for the Arts. According to the event announcement, the concert will be conducted by Laura Huckin along with special guest conductor Dr. Brandon A. Boyd, of the University of Missouri. The music will commence with singers representing the Northern Arapaho Tribe, Blackfeet Nation and Jemez Pueblo Tribe.
“Songs of Spirit creates a powerful narrative commemorating resilience, heritage, and unity through song,” Huckin said in a statement. “We are honored to have local Native American Tribes participating as we celebrate the breadth of our cultural diversity.”
Cathedral Voices will also showcase music representing Europe, Latin America and Asia, along with American folk songs. With Dr. Boyd conducting, the choir will perform work by Black composers, offering the audience a chance to experience Black history and the enduring effect it has on American music.
