JACKSON, Wyo. \u2014 The Teton County Historic Preservation Board invites the community to celebrate historic preservation in Teton County at the biennial Preservation Award Party. The event will be held at the Silver Dollar Showroom at the Wort Hotel on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m.\r\n\r\nEvery two years, the Teton County Historic Preservation Board awards a plaque for a historic building and medallions to a few who have invested in historic preservation. This year, the Preservation Award Party is intended to honor the following local families and organizations for their extraordinary commitment to historic preservation: The Hostel in Teton Village, the Gill Family, the Janak Family, the Dickey Family, and the Jackson Hole Land Trust.\r\n\r\nThe plaque program recognizes highly visible historic properties in Teton County as a way to express appreciation to owners who preserve these properties, and as a way to highlight the depth of history in Teton County. To date, the Teton County Historic Preservation Board has awarded over 100 plaques to historic property owners.\r\n\r\nJoin the community on October 16 and celebrate historic preservation while enjoying appetizers and a cash bar.\r\n\r\nA special thanks to Farmer Payne Architects, Wort Hotel, and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum for their support.
