JACKSON, Wyo. — Fourth of July weekend is shaping up to be busy in Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park and visitors are being urged to plan ahead.

All eight campsites in Grand Teton National Park are fully booked beginning tomorrow July 2, through July 5. The campsites include Signal Mountain Lodge Campground, Lizard Creek Campground, Jenny Lake Campground, Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch, Gros Ventre Campground, Colter Bay Tent Village, Colter Bay RV Park and Colter Bay Campground.

The park moved to a reservation system this summer, requiring visitors to book campsites ahead of time through Recreation.gov.

In Yellowstone National Park, the five sites operated by Yellowstone National Park Lodges are full for advanced reservations for the Fourth of July weekend. Those sites include Bridge Bay Campground, Canyon Campground, Fishing Bridge RV Park, Grant Village Campground and Madison Campground.

Canyon Lodge and Old Faithful Inn are the only lodges in the park that still have rooms available.

The three campsites that are managed by Reservation.gov are fully reserved. Those campsites include Mammoth Campground, Slough Creek Campground and Pebble Creek Campground.

Pebble Creek Campground located in Silver Gate, Montana has 11 first come first served sites available.

A map is available on the Yellowstone National Park website showing the other campsite locations and availability. The sites include Indian Creek Campground and Lewis Lake Campground. Norris Campground and Tower Fall Campground are both closed for the 2021 season.
