MORAN, Wyo. — This afternoon, Bridger Teton-National Forest (BTNF) reported a fire currently burning on the Blackrock Ranger District.

The Wallace Fire is burning just west of the Wallace Draw Reservoir approximately 2 miles from Hatchet Road. Currently estimated at 2 acres the fire is burning in predominantly grass and sage. More resources are en route to the fire now.

The southern portion of BTNF is under a red flag warning for this afternoon. BTNF urges individuals to be extra careful with any ignition source, this includes trailer chains, AVT/UTVs parked on tall grass, campfires (in approved locations).
