ALTA, Wyo. — The Teton County, Idaho Sheriff’s Office is asking people to remain calm if they hear a few big booms today.

Grand Targhee is bombing at the top of Peaked Mountain this afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office announced on Facebook. It might get loud and dusty, but there’s no need to fret.

“There is no need to call the Sheriff’s Office in Teton County Idaho [sic] or Wyoming when you hear a couple very loud booms and a bunch of dust flying around Peaked,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
