JACKSON, Wyo. — As inflation drives grocery prices ever higher, Buckrail decided to collect some data for wallet-wise shoppers in the valley.
We’ve compared the prices of basic market staples at Jackson’s four largest grocery stores: Albertsons, Smith’s, Target and Whole Foods. At each store, we found the lowest possible sticker price for a dozen eggs, a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. Here’s what we found:
| Store | Eggs (dozen) | Milk (gallon) | Bread (loaf) |
| Albertsons | $3.49 | $4.49 | $3.29 |
| Smith’s | $3.39 | $4.79 | $1.39 |
| Target | $2.89 | $3.49 | $2.89 |
| Whole Foods | $4.29 | $4.29 | $3.99 |
Data was collected on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 3.
