JACKSON, Wyo. — A biker was injured this morning on Highway 89 near Game Creek Road.

The accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. A pick-up truck hauling an empty trailer and a biker collided. The trailer struck her, knocking her off of her bike.

“The woman was wearing a helmet and it probably prevented a serious injury,” said the responding officer, Sergent Trevor Aitken.

“It really makes a difference if you have a helmet on collision with a vehicle,” said Aitken

He urged drivers and cyclists to be aware during the busy summer season, especially with all the construction and traffic in the region.
