JACKSON, Wyo. — Community members are invited to celebrate Teton County School District #1 (TCSD) Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gillian Chapman during her farewell party on Thursday, June 12.
The festivities will be held in the Jackson Room at the Wort Hotel from 4 to 6 p.m. Free food and beverages will be provided.
After helming the district since 2015, Chapman will serve her last day as Superintendent on Monday, June 30.
“While the district will miss Gillian’s leadership, vision and commitment to our students and staff, we wish her well as she transitions into a new superintendent position in Kansas, which will allow her to be closer to her family,” TCSD Board of Trustees Chairperson Betsy Carlin said in the resignation announcement. “We wish her the very best in her new position.”
In May, TCSD announced the appointment of Dr. Scott Crisp to interim superintendent. Crisp will serve in the position for the 2025/2026 school year while the TCSD Board of Trustees searches nationwide for a new superintendent, per the district.
