JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Board of County Commissioners voted to extend the contract with Helicopter Express for helicopter services for Teton County Search and Rescue for the 2021-2022 winter season.

Helicopter Express was awarded the helicopter services contract for the 2019-2020 winter season. Part of the contract included an option for renewal for four additional terms with a 3% annual increase. The County used this option and extended the contract last year for the 2020-2021 season.

For the 2021-2022 winter season Helicopter Express charges a base rate of 32,187.50 per month for eight months. The hourly Search and Rescue flight rate is $3,914 per hour and $2,266 per non-rescue hour. Per the contract, Teton County is guaranteeing a minimum contract amount of $385,735.00 regardless of flight time. Last year’s base minimum was $250,000 and the last year’s guaranteed minimum was $374,500.00.
