Top nursing home honors go to St. John's, again.

JACKSON, Wyo. – St. John’s Living Center has been named nationally as a “Best Nursing Home” of 2019-20.

For the second year in a row, venerable news body, US News and World Report has recognized the Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care services at Jackson’s premier Medical Center as among the best of its industry, an honor received by 3% of the nations more than 15,000 nursing homes.

“The Living Center has a rare culture that is a result of a team that goes beyond our nurses and aides to include our partners in housekeeping, pharmacy, dining, maintenance, therapy, and, of course, our residents and families,” said Malenda Hoelscher, executive director of senior living at St. John’s Living Center and 40-year veteran of the health care field.

“We have a synergy that pushes us to redefine what life in a nursing home looks and feels like,” Hoelscher said. “This recent award is a testament that we are headed in the right direction.”

A “Best Nursing Home” appointment is a score based rating utilizing online resources of nationally accredited healthcare bodies, analysis of working staff hours, and resident outcomes resulting from care.
