HOBACK, Wyo. — Join Astoria Park Conservancy and Daniela Botur for Astoria’s inaugural Moment of Zen health and wellness program!

On Wednesday, Aug. 4, families are invited to a Crystal Singing Bowl Meditation at 11 a.m. on Astoria’s Riverside Lawn. The experience will be guided by Daniela Botur, a bi-lingual healing arts and crystal singing bowl practitioner of over 15 years. Her passion is to create sacred spaces, to help people cultivate practices of mindfulness and positive intention they can integrate into their lives.

“As Astoria Park Conservancy’s mission is to connect our community through inspiring experiences in nature that improve livability, health and wellbeing, we are thrilled to be partnering with Daniela for our first Moment of Zen experience at Astoria,” said Dory Sumner, the Conservancy’s Manager of Programs and Development.

The session will be open to families (with children over the age of five) as well as individuals. In an effort to keep programs like these accessible to the entire community, a $10 donation per family is suggested– however not required for entry.

Please RSVP via Astoria Park Conservancy’s website. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat or blanket.

During the session, engage in grounding breathwork techniques as we connect to Astoria’s natural surroundings. Using crystal singing bowls and other vibrational techniques Daniela will create a cohesive, uplifting vibrational environment to help maintain focus and amplify intention.

This program is the first of a monthly series which takes place on the first week of each month, engaging community members in affordable and accessible wellness opportunities. For those able, consider sponsoring another family’s admission by increasing your suggested donation when RSVPing.
