JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s officially been two years since Astoria Park Conservancy opened their Hot Springs!
In those two years, Astoria Park Conservancy has re-established the hot springs as a place for gathering, wellness and connection, including providing community programs focused on wellness and access — a crucial part of the Conservancy’s mission to connect the community through inspiring experiences in nature that improve livability, health, and wellbeing. Gifts made during Old Bill’s in past years have made this work possible. Astoria Park Conservancy has bold goals in continuing to uplift this community, which will only be possible if locals join hands to support Astoria this year during Old Bill’s.

As an example of this impact, Astoria’s Access Fund distributes free and subsidized hot springs passes to community members who would otherwise face financial barriers in receiving the health, wellness, and social benefits of their mineral soaking pools. This program largely utilizes partnerships with local organizations, holding exclusive and free events at Astoria for selected partners and their constituents, including Jackson Hole Voices, Camina Conmigos, Coombs Outdoors, Community Entry Services, Teton Adaptive Sports, and LGBTQ+ community members.
Over the last two years, Astoria Park Conservancy has:
- Provided 3,700+ free soaking passes to community members with financial or social barriers.
- Collaborated with 35+ nonprofit partners for wellness, education, and access initiatives.
Astoria also has served as a gathering place and host for community programs and events, with a goal of providing community connection, as well as educational and immersive experiences connected to learning, wellness, conservation, and equity & inclusion. Programs have included mediations, yoga, facilitated community conversations, Grand Teton Music Festival concerts, swim lessons and Astoria’s annual community celebration: The May Hooray!
Astoria has:
- Hosted 50+ educational and wellness programs.
- Provided 40 swim lessons to community members and targeted groups.
- Engaged 700+ community members in onsite programs and events.
This year Astoria started celebrating health and wellbeing during Mental Health Awareness month by offering discounted prices to all locals during the month of May.
During Mental Health Awareness May, Astoria:
- Provided 650 community members with discounted pricing to ensure accessibility to their space, promoting rest and recovery.
Two years since opening, Astoria Park Conservancy is making impactful progress toward their vision that that time spent at Astoria will foster healthier and happier individuals and a more broadly connected community. As a nonprofit run space, this work is only possible because of donor support.
Astoria needs you to move forward in uplifting our community by donating to Astoria Park Conservancy during this year’s Old Bill’s! Giving is open for just a few more short days, so be sure to make your gift by Friday, September 16th!
