JACKSON, Wyo. — The Grand Teton Council of Scouts of America collected 3,802 pounds of food last Saturday for Jackson Cupboard, One22’s food assistance program which aims to increase food security in Teton County.
This year’s drive spanned 11 neighborhoods across Jackson. The food will go to more than 300 individuals and families who utilize Jackson Cupboard each month.
“We are so grateful for everyone who contributed, whether by donating food, spreading the word or lending a hand,” said Seadar Rose Davis, Director of Community Engagement for One22 Resource Center. “Your support makes a tangible difference. Together, we showed that even small acts—like leaving a can of soup on the porch—can add up to something truly extraordinary.”
The Scouting for Food event is an annual drive held by the Grand Teton Council of Scouts of America.
The One22 Resource Center offers free food assistance to those in need. Those in need can either sign up online to receive a week’s worth of groceries at no cost or can visit the cupboards at the Community Recreation Center or the Teton County Library if in need of immediate assistance.
