WILSON, Wyo. — Favorable weather allowed construction crews to pave 100 more parking spots at the site of the Stilson Transit Center construction project, which will now accommodate up to 600 vehicles for ski season. A previous update stated that 500 spaces would be available.
The lot is tentatively scheduled to open on Monday, Nov. 17.

“We are appreciative to our construction crews who jumped at the chance to get additional paving done during the great fall weather,” Teton County Public Works Director Heather Overholser said in an announcement by the Teton BUILD Grant. “Our team recognizes the critical need of parking in Stilson and worked to ensure that we could deliver as many spaces as possible during this winter construction season. The parking availability this winter will be comparable to the availability last winter, accommodating approximately 600 vehicles.”
Construction on the transit center is expected to be completed by next fall.
“We’ve been working hard to get parking ready so that on opening day, all you have to think about is making your first turns of the season,” the announcement reads.
