Your favorite Poke Bowl is back, and it’s the real deal

JACKSON, Wyo. — Have you tried the healthy, delicious prepared meals from Utilete Fresh (formerly The Phoenix and the Dragon) yet? If not, you should!

It’s the same high-quality cooking you’ve come to expect from local husband and wife team Eric and Zarina Sakai, but in the form of easy, quick and convenient refrigerated prepared meals.

Take their signature dish, Island Misoyaki Salmon, for example. You can now get the same quality ingredients and flavors that you remember from the restaurant, but at half the price, and you can enjoy it in the comfort of your own home.

Order online by Sunday to pick-up at the store on Tuesday, and order by Wednesday to pick-up on Friday. Get $10 toward your first order by creating a free account on the website. You can also find a selection of Utilete Fresh prepared meals at Pearl Street Market and the Aspens Market.

Since the Sakais have rebranded and pivoted their business, they have been getting many requests for their famous Poke Bowl. The Poke Bowl was a signature item on their old menu, featuring authentic flavors from Eric’s island hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii.

In response to the demand, they have turned the small space attached to their store into a pop-up classic Hawaiian takeout poke shop that will be open on Fridays! Every Friday beginning on January 29, they will offer poke for takeout-only from noon until sold out.

Stop by the pop-up on Fridays and watch the poke being made from the window, then step inside this little corner of Hawaii, order a bowl or poke sampler and escape to the islands!

All styles are delicious, but Eric and Zarina highly recommend the ‘Ono-licious, a traditional Hawaiian style ahi tuna poke tossed with fresh limu (seaweed) from Moloka’i, inamona (kukui nut relish) and ‘alaea (Hawaiian volcanic red) salt.

The generous Poke Bowls come with rice, seaweed salad, kamaboko (fish cake) and tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet). They are available in keiki (child) or makua (adult) size. For a taste of all the styles, order the Poke Sampler!

Don’t feel like carbs? Poke a la carte is available straight up without the fixins. Extra rice, seaweed salad and kimchi are also available as sides. Drinks include premium cold brew coffees, kombucha, Hawaiian volcanic water and other sparkling beverages.

To stop the spread of COVID-19, safety measures will be in place. No cash. Only credit cards or mobile payments are accepted. No dine-in. Please wear a mask before stepping inside to place your order. Sanitizer is available upon entry.
