YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Visitation statistics for June in Yellowstone National Park (YNP) have been released, and the park is still on pace for a record-breaking year.

A Thursday press release from YNP states that the park saw 903,025 recreation visits in the month of June, which is down 3% from June 2025. Last year, 928,250 people visited the park in June. This year’s June visitation is down 4% from June 2021 (938,845 visits), which was during the park’s record-setting year.

However, the 1,676,678 visits that the park has seen from January through June show that visitation is up 6% over 2021 (1,587,998 visits year-to-date). This year’s numbers are down 1% from last year through June, when the park hosted 1,690,922 recreation visits. Yellowstone’s busiest year in 2021 recorded over 4.8 million visits.
