MOOSE, Wyo. — Grand Teton National Park recently shared a timelapse video of crews moving the historic Roy Chambers house, part of an ongoing project between the park service and Grand Teton National Park Foundation to rehabilitate and convert buildings in the homestead to employee housing.

The Roy Chambers homestead is part of the Mormon Row Historic District in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP).

The building was removed while a new foundation was poured. In the video above, the house is being placed on the new foundation, in its original location. It is a one-and-a-half-story historic home constructed in 1911. According to GTNP, it retains a high level of historic integrity with original doors, windows, cabinetry and woodwork. 

The Mormon Row Road has been closed from north of Ditch Creek to south of the Roy Chambers site from August through October for renovation activities.
