WILSON, Wyo. — Weekend temperatures hit the mid-80s, leading many to enjoy cool refreshment in local waterways. Among them was a moose who went for a swim in the manmade lake in Rendezvous “R” Park on Sunday, June 30.
R Park was bustling on Sunday afternoon, full of paddle-boarders and sunbathers. Everyone dropped what they were doing to watch the moose take a dip. Moose are equipped with long legs that make them adept swimmers.
The moose met up with a companion next to R Park’s resident troll, Mama Mimi.
Remember: Numerous agencies recommend staying at least 25 yards away from moose. They can charge if they feel threatened.
