JACKSON, Wyo. — Do the lyrics to “Home on the Range” mention wildfire smoke?

Perhaps not. Smoke from the nearby Fish Creek Fire has been visible across the valley since it began in mid-August. The fire has grown to cover more than 15,000 acres in the Jackson Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest.

Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer glimpsed bison and red dogs grazing against the dramatic backdrop of billowing smoke.
