CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Wyoming State Libraries Digital Collections Suite has unveiled an improved search engine that simplifies navigation of the library’s six digital collections.

Those interested in learning more about the state’s historical records can now use search tools designed for higher visibility and quicker browsing. Legislative Librarian at the Wyoming State Library Travis Pollok said the enhancement project took seven months to complete.

“As the digital collections approach one million files, updates to the system create an easy and fast way to make information readily available and improve service to the public,” Pollok said in a press release.

More than 960,000 digital documents reside in the archive, organized into the following categories: Wyoming Newspapers, Wyoming Places, Wyoming Publications, Wyoming Legislation, Wyoming Inventors and Wyoming Trademarks.
