Wyoming Public Lands Initiative

“Have a say in the future of your public lands.”

The Wyoming Public Lands Initiative is a voluntary, collaborative, county-led process intended to result in one, multi-county legislative lands package that is broadly supported by public lands stakeholders in Wyoming. Whether you are a hunter, hiker or biker, the Wyoming Public Lands Initiative is the Wyoming way to reach agreement on the future of our state’s remaining wild places.

Locally-driven efforts are the best way to keep our own hands on the steering wheel. These are your public lands and your voice is important and needed now. This is your chance to have a say in how your public lands are managed.

The Greater Yellowstone Coalition supports the Wyoming Public Lands Initiative to assure that the Wilderness Study Areas (WSA’s) in Wyoming – including the Palisades and Shoal Creek WSA’s within Teton County – are managed wisely.
