JACKSON, Wyo. — On Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 5:30 p.m., the Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project (WIAP) will host a family preparedness packet night.

The night is intended to help families prepare in the event of detention by immigration authorities. The preparedness packets will include copies of essential documents, emergency contacts, powers of attorney (if needed) and key legal information “to help families safeguard their rights and protect their finances, property, and loved ones.”

WIAP will help families put together their packets at the event. Notaries will be present to notarize documents.

Those interested in attending can register here. More information and event location will be shared upon registration.
