UPDATE: 10:05 a..m.: The accident on U.S 89 is cleared.

JACKSON, Wyo. – The new snow that continues to blanket the valley is creating dangerous driving conditions.

This morning Jan. 21, at about 7:45 a.m, a three-car accident on U.S Highway 89 at mile marker 132.5 between Alpine Junction and Hoback Junction halted traffic. WYDOT is alerting drivers to expect delays and be prepared to stop. The accident is still being cleared.

Teton Pass is under chain law level 1, restricting travel to vehicles equipped with tire chains, vehicles with adequate snow tires, or all-wheel drive vehicles. Highway 22 is slick with black ice and snowfall. Expect reduced visibility and fog, according to WYDOT.
