JACKSON HOLE, WYO –

UPDATE (1:00pm): Teton Pass is now open.

UPDATE (11:38am): N Highway 89 to airport, Moose and Moran has reopened. Conditions remain challenging. Drive with caution. Roads in Grand Teton National Park have reopened but subject to additional closures depending on conditions. 

All flights scheduled to land at Jackson Hole Airport so far today have been diverted or cancelled. Flights scheduled to depart this morning have been cancelled or delayed. We have late word that the Airport is boarding flights to depart shortly. 

Weather conditions are being blamed for more than two dozen accidents already this morning responded to by law enforcement.

Teton Pass remains closed until it can be cleared. Snow, blowing snow and limited visibility have also prompted a closure of US Highway 89 from town limits north to the airport and beyond to Moose and Moran.

Park spokesperson Denise Germann said all roads in Grand Teton National Park are closed until further notice due to extremely slick conditions and limited visibility.

Weather has also forced the closure of the Trash Transfer Station for today. Additional closures for events in and around the valley are likely to come in. Buckrail will keep these updated on this story post.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) and the Teton Village Association (TVA) would like to notify public that there is no more parking available in any of the Teton Village parking lots or at the Stilson Parking lot. JHMR asks that anyone who wishes to come skiing please take the bus from town.

“We are in the middle of a huge storm cycle, and our staff is doing the best they can to keep up with the plowing and snow removal demands. However, there are challenging conditions today, and safety is the primary concern both on the mountain, and also getting to and from the resort,” stated Vice President of Operations Tim Mason.

Teton County School District reports an early release for KES, MES, and middle school and high school students who live in Kelly, Moose, Moran and North Spring Gulch Road.

  • Everything must go Flash Sale at the Q scheduled for today has been postponed until tomorrow due to weather.
  • No Hootenanny tonight out at Dornan’s. Roads are a little too slick and it just isn’t worth jeopardizing anyone’s safety.
