JACKSON, Wyo. — If you have been paying attention, you’ve probably heard whisperings about the Town of Jackson and Teton County’s Comprehensive Plan process. On Tuesday, October 8 at the Center for the Arts, community members will have the opportunity to engage with Planning staff as the process moves forward. The event will consist of discussions, multimedia presentations, activities, and light refreshments and will run from 12:30–7 p.m.

The joint Jackson/Teton County Comprehensive Plan is meant to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the Jackson community and preserve its character for future generations. With its adoption in 2012, the community decided to work together toward the following vision: “Preserve and protect the area’s ecosystem in order to ensure a healthy environment, community and economy for current and future generations.”

This event will allow folks who took the Plan’s survey to contribute suggestions and will also provide those who have not taken the survey a chance to let their voices be heard. A key component of this Comprehensive Plan review and update process is public outreach and engagement with the community to gather meaningful feedback and ideas.

The Town of Jackson’s mission is to provide municipal services that enhance the quality of life for our residents and guests and to help support the local economy. We train, mentor, and challenge our employees to develop to their highest potential, and foster partnerships to solve problems and effectively use our resources. We appreciate the unique environment and scenic beauty where we live and work and acknowledge our responsibilities to future generations.
