WYOMING — On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) congratulated the winners who showcased their skills in Wyoming Wildlife Magazine’s annual photo contest.
The 55th annual photo contest received more than 3,000 submissions from photographers of all ages, the WGFD wrote on its website.
The grand prize winner was Evan Watts of Gardiner, Mont. for best overall photo titled, “Somebody doesn’t want to share,” an image of two gray wolves. Jackson’s Savannah Rose was awarded second place in the wildlife category for her close-up of an American badger, titled, “Ground grizzly.”
All the top winners of the Wyoming Wildlife Magazine photo contest are featured in the February photo issue of the magazine, the WGFD shared on Instagram.
“This year’s Wyoming Wildlife photo issue was phenomenal due to the vast number of high-quality images submitted by the public participants in our 2024 Annual Photo Contest,” Wyoming Wildlife Creative Director Patrick Owen said in the announcement. “We’d like to thank all participants because it is an honor and remarkable experience viewing all of your photo entries.
