West Thumb Geyser Basin in Yellowstone is now open

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — According to a press release from the park, West Thumb Geyser Basin has reopened following the Sept. 12 temporary closure.

Today, Yellowstone’s structural fire crew determined the area is safe to access.
