Dry conditions will prevail on Monday with a mix of sun and clouds along with an inversion in place. Highs will reach the upper teens to low 20s in the valley.
On Tuesday, temperatures will start to warm up with increasing clouds ahead of the next storm system approaching from the west/southwest. Snow will arrive late Tuesday night and continue throughout the day on Wednesday with snow amounts ranging from 6-12 inches in the Tetons and 2-5 inches in the Jackson Hole Valley. The most difficult travel conditions over Teton Pass can be expected on Wednesday morning.
Highs will reach the upper 20s in the valley on Tuesday and the low 30s on Wednesday, but temperatures will be falling throughout the day on Wednesday across the higher elevations as colder air aloft arrives. Winds will also be gusty out of the west/southwest during the day on Wednesday.
Conditions will dry out briefly on Wednesday night and Thursday, but another storm will arrive from the northwest late this week with more snow falling from Thursday night through Friday night.
While this storm is still several days out, the early snow forecast calls for 7-14 inches of snow in the Tetons. Cold temperatures will be in place for this storm, and as a result, the snow that falls will be very powdery/low-density.
Heading into the weekend, we could see additional light to moderate snow showers on Saturday. We may dry out somewhat on Sunday, but the pattern will remain a little unsettled with light snow showers/flurries remaining possible. Temperatures will remain chilly through the weekend with highs in the 20s in the valley.
