JACKSON, Wyo. — Looking for a way to help the victims of Maui’s devastating wildfires?
Jacksonites have options ranging from in-person fundraising events to virtual opportunities.
Roadhouse Brewing will host a fundraiser for Maui at its Code Red taqueria on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 5 p.m., when 50% of the evening’s sales will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund. They will be serving Pono Life, a beer Roadhouse created in collaboration with Maui Brewing Co.
Inversion Yoga will hold Mindful Movement for Maui classes, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Hawai’i Community Foundation.
On Sunday, Aug. 20, “Maui Ola: A benefit concert for Maui” will be livestreamed from O’ahu and Hawai’i Island, featuring Kolohe Kai, Hawaiian Style Band, Pure Heart, Jerry Santos, Raiatea Helm, Paula Fuga, Kimie Miner, Anuhea, Del Beazley, the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra and other musicians and cultural practitioners with ties to Maui. Proceeds from this event will benefit Maui United Way, Hawai’i Community Foundation, Hawai’i People’s Fund and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement.
The Maui Humane Society is accepting donations from out-of-staters via its Amazon wishlist.
Many websites are also taking direct donations, including the American Red Cross and the Maui Food Bank, as well as the organizations previously linked in this story.

Patronizing these business from afar could help contribute to their charitable work.
Hawaiian Airlines miles can be donated to the airline, which can be used to transport workers and food among the islands.
