UPDATE: Jackson Police Department has announced that the truck has been found. “The truck has been located and should be making its way home soon,” JPD said. “A regional construction company went to the fairgrounds to collect a water truck that was left for them. It turns out they grabbed the wrong one. Kudos to one of our long time public works employees who spotted it and solved this one.”
JACKSON, Wyo. — A large yellow water truck has gone missing from the Teton County Fairgrounds, according to the Jackson Police Department (JPD).
JPD shared the news on its Facebook page on Thursday, Aug. 31.
“Sometime between August 29, 2023 at 9 a.m. and August 30 at 9 a.m. a large yellow water truck has turned up missing (presumably stolen) from the fairgrounds,” the post said.
According to JPD, the truck is a 1993 Chevrolet Kodiak two-ton medium duty truck with a large water tank. Its Wyoming license plate number is CITY-1454.
“If you see this vehicle or have knowledge of its whereabouts please contact any Jackson Police Officer at (307) 733-2331 and reference case number 2308-4022,” JPD said.
