JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Want to see what an electric truck is all about?
Scott Brandebury of Lancer Automotive will bring an XL Plug-In Hybrid Truck for interested parties to test drive tomorrow. Brandebury will provide information about the truck—such as cost, specs and examples of other fleets using this technology. After his brief information session, all who attend will have a chance to take the truck for a spin.
The event will take place Thursday, April 12 at 1pm at the Teton County Library. It is being organized by Yellowstone-Teton Clean Cities (YTCC). They ask people meet inside in the library auditorium for a few announcements and refreshments, then everyone will head outside to view/drive the truck.
“If you have felt there is not a good alternative fuel for your truck and large vehicle fleet, this is the event for you,” said Alicia Cox, executive director of YTCC.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about a plug-in hybrid electric truck. There are only two plug-in electric truck options on the market, so this is a very unique opportunity for the community to test it out firsthand.
YTCC has a few $3,000 electric vehicle rebates available and this vehicle would qualify for those rebates.
