JACKSON, Wyo. — In an annual initiative, elementary school kids are calling the shots (again!) in the Cream + Sugar Scoop Shop

An effort launched in 2024, the program engages local elementary schools to work as classrooms to develop the next flavor the kids would like to see come to life in the Cream + Sugar Scoop Shop. Once each class submits their flavor, voting goes live on the Cream + Sugar Instagram account. The winning flavor from each school is then brought to life by the Cream + Sugar team and available to purchase the following month.

This year, Munger Mountain went first, submitting flavors like Sunset Surprise (kiwi, blueberry, chocolate, strawberry), Super Sonic (chocolate banana), Candy Cooling (cotton candy, Starbursts, Skittles, M&Ms) and the winning flavor, available now in the Scoop Shop: Panda Explosion (vanilla ice cream with cotton candy swirls, sprinkles, marshmallows and a candy straw).

As part of the initiative, the ice cream masterminds tour the Cream + Sugar facility on Gregory Lane, learning how ice cream is made and even being part of making a batch of the winning ice cream. Of course, tasting is an important part of the learning.

The fun continues as Colter, Jackson and Wilson will keep the ice cream creations going. Follow the Cream + Sugar Instagram account to take part in the next round of voting, taking place beginning April 14.
