GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — The Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) vegetation team is seeking volunteers to assist at a planting day tomorrow.

The vegetation team will work to restore native sagebrush habitat in Antelope Flats near Mormon Row on Friday. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., volunteers can join to plant native species grown from seeds collected in the park. GTNP wrote on Facebook that this work helps restore ecological function to the landscape.

“Every sagebrush start makes a difference in restoring this important habitat,” GTNP wrote. “We hope you’ll join us!”

According to the park, volunteers are welcome to stop by anytime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and stay as long as their schedules allow. Those who would like to participate can meet near Mormon Row, the exact meeting location can be found here.

RSVP is appreciated but not necessary. Email the GTNP volunteer team here. Volunteers are asked to bring water, snacks, sunscreen, bear spray and anything else needed for outdoor comfort. All planting tools will be provided.
