US 89 between Moose and Moran back open

JACKSON HOLE, WYO– Grand Teton National Park authorities have opened US Highway 26/89/191 between Moose Junction and Moran Junction.

Snow removal equipment will be operating on the highway in conjunction with Law Enforcement. The highway is still snow packed and slick so drivers are advised to use caution, drive slowly, and be on the lookout for snow removal equipment.

A winter storm watch is still in effect until 6am Saturday with the heaviest snow predicted to fall between 8pm tonight and 4am Friday and then again late Friday afternoon and evening. Please stay tuned to weather forecasts and the status of the roads.

Some side roads in the park are currently closed due to conditions including the north end of Moose-Wilson Road.
