JACKSON, Wyo. — Town of Jackson (TOJ) Public Works announced that Millward St. will remain closed in preparation for new sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access ramps. This is an update to TOJ’s initial target of having the Pearl/Millward intersection fully operational by the end of the week.

Town of Jackson Public Works Senior Engineer Scott A Mohror said in the announcement that construction crews are making progress. On Oct. 8, crews completed the paving work on the Pearl Ave. and Millward St. intersection.

According to TOJ, Pearl Avenue is open to traffic, but Millward will remain closed so “the contractor can get the concrete prep work done.” Concrete is scheduled to be poured on Monday, Oct. 14.

“You will see some new concrete curb and gutter being replaced that did not meet TOJ standards,” Mohror said. “There is plenty of concrete to be poured and will most likely take three days, weather permitting.”

After the concrete is poured, the new concrete will need seven days to cure out with the cooler morning temperatures, according to Public Works.

Millward will not reopen until the concrete work is completed. Engineering does not anticipate any road closures on Pearl, provided Millward remains closed for staging of the concrete trucks.
