JACKSON, Wyo. — Mountain bikers are invited to a free event Wednesday evening to learn about bike maintenance and first aid.

Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) and Hoback Sports will be putting on the hands-on workshop Wednesday, July 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hoback Sports’ store, located at 520 W Broadway.

Attendees will have a chance to learn about tire plugging, CO2 use, chain management, pre- and post-ride maintenance and what to carry in a pack when biking. Workshop leaders will also go over important first aid response measures including concussion assessment, bone and joint splinting and deep wound care.

Participants are encouraged to bring whatever they typically bring on their bike rides in order to become more familiar with their equipment.

Mountain bikers of all experiences are welcome at the workshop. Registration is available on TCSAR’s website.
