JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling (ISWR) has announced that its facilities will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Trash Transfer Station and Recycling Center will close for the two Monday holidays on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2024. The Trash Transfer Station will be open to the public with normal business hours on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Recycling Center will also resume its normal business hours on those Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Outdoor recycling bins at the Recycling Center and all community recycling sites will remain open on the holidays, as they are available 24/7.

ISWR reminds the community that wrapping paper and most other gift-wrapping supplies are not recyclable.

“Please be considerate and flatten all cardboard to prevent overflow,” ISWR said via press release. “If bins are full, please do not leave recyclables on the ground. Try a different community site or hold them until bins can be emptied the following business day. Traditional gift wrap is not recyclable. Thank you for recycling!”
