JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson (TOJ) has decided to let emergency water restrictions expire at the end of the month, and to look further into the issue at the beginning of next year.

The topics of water conservation and restrictions were brought up at the Town Council Workshop on Monday, Oct. 20. TOJ Assistant Public Works Director Johnny Ziem told Buckrail that no decisions were made, but staff was asked to bring forward ideas, draft ordinances and other possible tools in January. TOJ and Town Council will review and discuss the possibility of permanent water restrictions at that time.

The current irrigation restrictions that have been in place since July are set to expire on Oct. 31.
