JACKSON, Wyo. — On March 4, the Town Council unanimously approved Habitat for Humanity’s request for a Subdivision Plat to divide each of the six Parkside at Benson Brown Station Townhome Addition lots into three townhomes (18 townhomes total) and a common green space, as well as set aside a “Historic Cabin Area” to accommodate the historic Benson/Brown cabin.
This 18-unit affordable housing development consists of six lots (1.08 acres total), and is located within the Neighborhood Low Density – 5 (NL-5) zoning district at 445 E. Kelly. According to Habitat for Humanity, Parkside includes a mix of two and three bedroom units available to local families and individuals earning between 30 to 80% Area Median Income (AMI).

The Benson Home, which was designated as a historically significant structure through the Town’s new historic designation process, has been relocated to the southeastern corner of the property. The Town minutes state that “the plan all along was to restore and relocate” the Benson Cabin but “the future use is still unknown.” The historic structure is not approved for occupancy and will remain separate from the homeowners association (HOA).
The 18 platted lots and common areas are owned by Teton County. The ground lease is with Habitat for Humanity, and the non-profit will work directly with the individual owners of the 18 units.
