JACKSON, Wyo. — Area Post Offices are adding convenience to the holidays by offering lengthened retail hours.

The Jackson Downtown Post Office, the Jackson Main Post Office, and the Wilson Post Office are extending Saturday operations over the five weekends prior to Christmas.

“It’s all about customer convenience,” said Jackson Customer Service Supervisor Kristi Pottala. “Staying open later on the five Saturdays before Christmas will help our customers check holiday mailing off their to-do list.”

The holiday schedule of Saturdays begins November 23 and applies to each Saturday until December 21, including at Jackson’s Downtown Station location which typically closes on weekend days.

Specific hours at the Jackson Main and Downtown Station Post Offices are 8 a.m.–1 p.m. Wilson hours are 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, the Postal Service expects to deliver more than 800 million packages and nearly 12 billion pieces of mail, a total of nearly 13 billion cheerful deliveries this holiday season.
