JACKSON, Wyo. — Author of “The Emerald Mile” and “A Walk in the Park” Kevin Fedarko will speak at the Center for the Arts (CFTA) on Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. While the free event is sold-out, those interested in attending in person can join a waitlist or choose to watch the livestream. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The evening will include a community gathering, opportunities to connect with Snake River Headwaters Watershed Group members, and a book signing with the author, according to the CFTA website. Attendees can expect conversation around the future of the Snake River watershed and “the shared responsibility we carry for the river that sustains our community.”

Fedarko has been a staff writer at Time magazine, where he reported mostly on foreign affairs. He then became a senior editor at Outside and has also had writing featured in National Geographic, The New York Times and Esquire.

The Friday evening talk is part of the Snake River Headwaters Symposium, which is a public event hosted by the Snake River Headwaters Watershed Group. The symposium is intended to bring together scientists, water users, agencies, nonprofits, businesses, guides and outfitters, Tribal representatives and community members to learn more about the issues faced by the Snake River watershed.
