DRIGGS, Idaho — Fundraising efforts in Teton Valley’s 18th annual Tin Cup Challenge raised a record-breaking $3,881,656 this year, according to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley.
This represents a 15% increase over last year’s total, the Community Foundation noted. This year’s contributions took the 18-year total over $30.8 million.
“Without nonprofits and dedicated donors, the landscape of Teton Valley would be vastly different,” the Community Foundation of Teton Valley shared via press release. “Our community’s health relies on the success and vitality of local nonprofits. Thanks to the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole for their partnership and to all who made the 18th Annual Tin Cup Challenge our most successful event yet. Tin Cup illustrates the remarkable impact of generosity and collaboration.”
Much like the annual Old Bill’s fundraiser in Teton County, Wyoming, Tin Cup fundraising benefits 64 participating nonprofits through individual donations, match grants, community challengers and volunteer efforts. Funds will go toward programs providing health and human services, education, recreation, arts and culture, conservation and more.
This year, 1,623 individuals donated, marking a 20% increase over last year and representing one in three Teton Valley households, the Community Foundation said.
“These results demonstrate the extraordinary value of local nonprofits and the unwavering generosity of our community,” Community foundation of Teton Valley Executive Director Bonnie Self said.
