JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton Science Schools is excited to welcome back summer camps for students entering fifth and sixth graders, after a two-year hiatus. Rooted in TSS’s place-based education approach, the camps provide immersive, educational experiences with experienced instructors with a love of hands-on learning and inspiring curiosity. These popular, weeklong programs offer a choice of day camp or hybrid day and overnight camp and are available between June 27 and August 19, 2022.

“Camps are led by TSS educators and they truly make all the difference for the participants,” Molly Watters, Teton Science Schools Summer Camp Director. “Our camp days are filled with curiosity, learning, and outdoor activities that feed both the brain and body.”

Each week, camps feature a different theme filled with scientific discovery, natural exploration and enriching programming. Off-campus “journeys” include visiting area parks, canoeing on String Lake, and hiking at one of TSS’s campuses within Grand Teton National Park.

The Field Adventurer Camp is based out of the TSS Jackson Campus and campers will enjoy day excursions to nearby locales such as R Park, surrounding city parks and a visit to Grand Teton National Park. The camp is $550 per session.

For the more intrepid student, the Overnight Adventurer Camp offers a hybrid day and overnight camp with three days of local excursions and two nights of camping in Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone National Park. The camp is $650 per session.
