JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton Raptor Center (TRC) is hosting free Wild Wings & Holiday Cheer events to celebrate the holiday season.
The events will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at 5450 WY-Highway 22 in Wilson, Wyoming, on the following dates:
- Thursday, Nov. 21
- Tuesday, Nov. 26
- Friday, Dec. 6
- Thursday, Dec. 12
Attendees can also meet an Avian Ambassador from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Avian Ambassadors are birds that are receiving essential care at the TRC, in addition to enrichment and choice-based training. All ambassadors are also being trained in husbandry behaviors, from voluntary weighing, to nail trims and injections.
Last month, the TRC’s newest Burrowing Owl ambassador was named Cricket, which comes from its call and common prey source.
There will also be cookies, cider and wine, along with family-friendly crafts and educational displays in the TRC Learning Lab.
