JACKSON, Wyo. — Just after 2 p.m., the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) issued a no trailer traffic travel alert for Teton Pass, Wyoming 22 between Jackson and the Idaho State line. Chain law level 1 is also in effect.

The road is slick in spots with conditions deteriorating at higher elevations. According to WYDOT cameras, heavy fog is blanketing the top of the pass.

Buckrail Meteorologist Alan Smith forecasts that snow levels will start out around 7,000 feet this afternoon with valley highs in the 40s and by late afternoon and into the early evening, snow levels will fall to the valley floor due to a cold front. It is currently snowing in Jackson.

Total snowfall through Tuesday night will range from 2-5 inches in the Tetons above 8,000 feet with little to no accumulation in the valley.
