JACKSON, Wyo. — The most recent storm cycle wraps up this evening so the Wyoming Department of Transportation will use the pause to perform another round of avalanche mitigation tonight at 8 p.m.

Commuters should be aware of a scheduled closure of Teton Pass for tonight, Tuesday Jan 14 at 8 p.m. for avalanche mitigation work. Should windy, snowy conditions persist today, the closure could be earlier.

No parking at the summit of Teton Pass and Coal Creek beginning at 5 p.m. tonight will be strictly enforced. Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly.

As a result of the scheduled closure, START announced it will cancel the 7:30 p.m. Teton Valley commuter route return trip to Idaho this evening. At this time, the remainder of the Idaho commuter routes scheduled to depart Snow King at their regular times of 3:45 p.m., 5:05 p.m., and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
